Dr Alex Grigoropoulos obtained his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D degree in Chemistry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. Over the last 15 years, he has been involved in projects across various fields of inorganic chemistry, such as organometallic chemistry, molecular magnetism, crystalline porous materials (MOFs, zeolites), homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis (hydrogenation, isomerisation, hydroformylation, electrocatalysis, biomass conversion), computational chemistry and X-Ray absorption spectroscopy (XANES-EXAFS). Before joining Creative Nano as the R&D manager, he worked as a post-doc for ten years in the US (3 years), Greece (1 year) and the UK (6 years). Dr Grigoropoulos has published 24 papers in peer-review journals and 1 book chapter. He enjoys listening to alternative rock music, reading crime fiction novels, and playing tennis with his twins.
