Dr. Ioanna Deligkiozi is a Chemical Engineer that graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in 2007. In 2009 she gained her M.Sc. degree in the field of Science and Technology of Materials. During her postgraduate degree she has been involved in the field of advanced composite materials. Specifically, she worked in the production of hard Ni Composite Coatings, using nanosized TiO2-ZrO2 powders, with emphasis in pulls electrolysis. In 2012 she defended her Ph.D. thesis «Synthesis and characterization of new rotaxanes of α-cyclodextrine with diazobenzene containing molecular dumbbells acting as Molecular Switches» in the field of supramolecular chemistry. The last five year she has worked as a senior researcher and as an R&D manager in the field of Nanotechnology & Advanced Materials. Furthermore, she has been involved in more than 5 European research projects as senior researcher and technical manager in 8 FP7 and H2020 projects under the schemes of R4S, R4A, FOF, NMBP, PILOTS and EEB. She is an active member of the American Society of Heating, refrigerating and air conditioning (ASHRAE) SINCE 2010. She has published more than 50 scientific and technical papers in Journals and Conference. Her main scientific interests include a range of issues, many of which are correlated with the nanosized engineered materials. Finally, she is a member of the nanosafety cluster and involved in various activities related to the EC cluster initiatives such as: EEB, EFRA and Nanofutures.
